FPSC revises recruitment procedure for Grades 16 to 21

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Public Service Commission (FPSC) has decided to introduce a major change in the recruitment process for government posts from Grade 16 to Grade 21, ARY News reported. All recruitment examinations will follow a new Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)-based format, starting September 21, 2025. According to sources within the FPSC, candidates will be required to appear in a single MCQ-based paper of 100 marks for Grades 16 and 17, . The passing score is set at 40 marks, and a negative marking of 0.25 will be applied for each incorrect answer. For Grades 18 and 19, two separate MCQ-based papers of 100 marks each will be conducted. For general posts, the passing score is 40, with the same 0.25 negative marking for wrong answers. For speciaised posts such as doctors, general managers, teachers, and other professional or technical roles, the passing percentage for teaching positions will be a minimum of 50%. NDMA says Tarbela Dam’s spillways opened

ISLAMABAD: The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has said that Tarbela Dam’s spillways have been opened at 8:00am on Monday. NDMA has warned in a statement of up to 2,50,000 cusecs waterflow owing to opening of the spillways and cautioned against flooding in Indus River and adjoining rivers and drains. The disaster management authority has advised residents of nearby areas to keep alert about increase in waterflow. The NDMA has also advised residents of low lying areas to stay away from the water bodies, cooperate with local administration and follow safety measures. The authorities have been directed to keep the local population aware about the situation. ISLAMABAD:  The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced a key update to its Pak-ID mobile application, introducing different user-friendly features to simplify identity registration processes. The new features are aimed at providing ease to the people, especially for parents of young children. NADRA- NIC, NICOP, FRC Information Portal According to NADRA, the recent update in the Pak-ID app now allows parents to upload photographs directly from their mobile gallery while applying for the Child Registration Certificate (CRC) or identity card for children under the age of three. This addition in the Pak-ID mobile application eliminates the requirement of visiting NADRA offices in person and waiting in long queues.
