Female journalist Sadaf Naeem laid to rest in Lahore

LAHORE: Female journalist Sadaf Naeem has been laid to rest after offering funeral prayers in Lahore’s Icchra area in the wee hours of Monday. As per details, a large number of journalists, family members of the deceased journalist and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders including Fawad Chaudhry, Mian Aslam Iqbal and Omar Sarfraz Cheema attended the funeral prayers. Later, the deceased journalist was laid to rest at the Miani Sahib Graveyard. On Sunday, a female reporter from a private news channel namely Sadaf Naeem died in a horrific accident  during PTI’s long march. Pakistan, UAE conduct bilateral naval drills at North Arabian Sea

KARACHI: The Pakistan Navy on Sunday demonstrated firepower in the Arabian Sea amid bilateral naval exercise NASL AL BAHR-IV conducted with United Arab Emirates (UAE) Navy at Karachi. The exercise comprised advanced-level naval operations, including a practical demonstration of Live Weapons Firings (LWF), said a Pakistan Navy news release. Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi and Head of UAE Naval Training Brigadier Staff Abdulla Sultan witnessed the LWF at the North Arabian Sea. ISLAMABAD: Senior journalist Moeed Pirzada has left Pakistan and reached the United Kingdom (UK) on Sunday. The senior journalist in his Vlog confirmed that he has left Pakistan and is currently in the UK. He ruled out any threats behind leaving Pakistan and said he is there for other reasons. Moeed Pirzada also said he has returned to his Vlogs after four days of a break as he was continuously traveling. Machar colony incident: 37 detained by police, investigations underway

KARACHI: The Sindh police on Saturday arrested at least 37 people involved in the mob lynching of two young men in the Machar Colony area of the metropolitan, ARY News reported.  Five out of the 37 arrested are named in the case, police told.  Police officials told that the detainees are being interrogated to confirm their involvement in the incident. LAHORE: Imran Khan-led PTI long march, which kicked off from Liberty Chowk after Friday prayers, will resume its journey towards the federal capital at 11am from Lahore’s Shahdara today, ARY News reported on Saturday. Three passengers named on ECL nabbed at Karachi airport

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) immigration officials have arrested three passengers from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport who were named on the exit control list (ECL), ARY News reported on Friday. The FIA immigration officials arrested three passengers who were trying to depart for foreign countries from Karachi airport during different actions. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has finalised the complete schedule of the Imran Khan-led long march to be started on Friday (today) from Lahore’s Liberty Chowk, ARY News reported. Pakistan condoles with Iran on loss of lives in terrorist attack

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has expressed deep condolence over the loss of precious lives and injuries sustained in the deadly terrorist attack at a shrine in Shiraz, a city in Iran. In a statement, the Foreign Office spokesperson expressed solidarity with the people of Iran in this hour of grief and express profound sympathies to the families of the deceased. LAHORE: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab has registered a case against Inspector General (IG) Islamabad police Akbar Nasir Khan, ARY News reported on Wednesday. Arshad Sharif’s mother announced that the funeral prayer will be held at Faisal Masjid Islamabad at 2:00 pm on Thursday (today). She urged everyone to visit her residence before going to the mosque for funeral prayers. She said that she wants to say goodbye to her son in a manner befitting for his sacrifice.
