Malir murders: Police decide to register case against Fawad

KARACHI: Police have decided to register a case against wounded man named, Fawad – the prime suspect in the Malir’s Shamsi Society brutal murders, ARY News reported. The man allegedly stabbed his wife and three daughters to death in Malir’s Shamsi Society and got seriously injured while trying to end his life. Police said they will make the brother of the deceased woman, the applicant in the murder case against Fawad, but if not, the case will be lodged on the state’s complaint. According to Fawad’s confessional statement, he was also running a trading business with the collaboration of some investors besides doing a job in which he faced losses, whereas, he and his wife usually fights at home. Two killed, 20 injured in suicide attack on police truck in Quetta

QUETTA: At least two people, including a policeman, died while 20 others sustained injuries in a suicide attack near a Balochistan Constabulary truck in Quetta’s Baleli area on Wednesday, police said. DIG Quetta Ghulam Azfar Maisar told media that at least 20 people sustained injuries in the attack, including 16 policemen and four civilians. A total of three vehicles were hit in the blast including the police truck, he said, adding that 25 kilograms of explosives were used in the attack. He said that the blast targeted a police team preparing to escort polio vaccinators in the city for an ongoing vaccination drive. Soon after the incident, Levies and FC personnel rushed to the site and moved the injured to Civil Hospital Quetta. Law enforcement agencies have also cordoned off the area. Assets case: Usman Buzdar gets extension in interim bail

LAHORE: An accountability court Wednesday extended the interim bail of former Punjab CM and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Usman Buzdar in assets case, ARY News reported. As per details, the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has submitted its response in the court on interim bail in assets beyond means case. The Investigation Officer informed the court that the NAB has not yet issued arrest warrant for Usman Buzdar, therefore his arrest is not required at the moment. Three killed in car-truck collision in Ghotki

GHOTKI: Three persons including a woman lost their lives in a car-truck collision in Ghotki on Tuesday, ARY News reported. Police said that a speeding car collided with a truck, leaving three persons dead. The bodies were shifted to Headquarters Hospital by rescue workers. Karachi: Drug-addicted father kills 2-year-old son

KARACHI: In a horrible incident, a drug-addicted man killed his two-year-old child over a domestic fight with his wife in Karachi, ARY News reported. According to police, the drug-addicted man slammed the minor to the ground when he couldn’t get the drug. The man brought his child to Jinnah hospital for a normal check-up but started fighting with his wife when he couldn’t find his drugs. UAE issues travel advisory for passengers, sets new condition

A new travel advisory was issued for passengers to the United Arab Emirates as the UAE restricted the entry of travellers with a single name on their passports. According to the new advisory, the UAE immigration officials set a new condition for inbound passengers. Under the new condition, passengers with a single name on their passports will not get clearance at the UAE airports. It was declared mandatory for the passport holders to mention first and sir names including father or husband. The UAE authorities also directed the airlines to issue tickets to travellers with full names. ‘Missing’ Karachi woman recovered from Lahore, one arrested

KARACHI: The ‘missing’ Karachi woman from the Gulshan-e-Hadeed area namely Anum was recovered from Lahore during a joint raid of Malir Operation and Investigation police, ARY News reported on Friday. The Malir Operation and Investigation Police officials conducted a joint raid in Lahore and recovered the Karachi woman, Anum, who went missing from her Gulshan-e-Hadeed residence a few days ago. ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif has embarked on a two-day official visit to Turkiye on Friday (today) with an aim to further boost friendly ties with the brotherly country. PM Shehbaz Sharif is undertaking this visit at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. High-power delegation to visit Russia to acquire oil, gas: NA informed

ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly was informed on Thursday that a high-power delegation will soon visit Russia to negotiate any possibility of long-term cooperation to acquire gas and oil. According to details, Parliamentary Secretary for Petroleum Division Hamid Hameed told the House in response to a question during Question Hour. “At present Russia has not offered to supply gas to Pakistan,” he said. Comedian Ismail Tara passes away at age of 73

KARACHI: Renowned Pakistani artist and comedian Ismail Tara has died in Karachi at the age of 73 due to kidney failure, ARY News reported on Thursday. Man nabbed by FIA for harassing woman

LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) Cyber Crime Cell conducted a raid in Bahawalpur and arrested a suspect who was involved in the sexual harassment of a woman. The FIA official said that the suspect was arrested over the complaint of a woman who was being harassed via her objectionable photos and videos. Earlier on Wednesday, the FIA cybercrime circle Faisalabad conducted a raid in Jaranwala and nabbed a suspect in the harassment case. The agency’s spokesperson said that the suspect was identified as Tanveer Alam. The suspect was involved in harassing a  woman by sharing her obscene videos and photos online besides blackmailing her for money. The FIA officials also seized the suspect’s mobile phone and sent it for the forensic examination. PIA plane makes emergency landing at Islamabad airport

KARACHI: A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane flight from Sukkur to Islamabad made an emergency landing at Islamabad International airport after warning of fire in one of its engines, ARY News reported on Thursday. According to Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) spokesperson, the PIA ATR flight, with 54 passengers on board, was en route to Islamabad from Sukkur when the pilot of the flight was cautioned by the signal of fire in one of its engines.
