ATC grants bail to senior journalist Matiullah Jan

ISLAMABAD: Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday granted bail to Senior journalist Matiullah Jan, ARY News reported. As per details, the Anti-Terrorism Court judge Tahir Abbas Sipra approved the bail plea against surety bonds worth Rs 10,000 each and ordered authorities to release Matiullah. Persistent bad air keeps Lahore 2nd most polluted city on AQI

LAHORE: Persistent air pollution continuing to haunt Lahore keeping it the second most polluted city of the world list with AQI reading 293 on Saturday, ARY News reported. KARACHI: Lyari gang war kingpin Uzair Baloch, his brother Zubair Baloch and others filed petitions in an anti-terrorism court hearing, seeking their acquittal in murder case of rival gangster Arshad Pappu. ATC judge expressed resentment over absence of former investigation officer of the case and DSP Baghdadi Abid Ansari and summoned him in the next hearing of the case. ISLAMABAD: Senator Faisal Vawda has predicted a looming ban on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), as authorities have vowed strict punishment for the detained PTI workers involved in the Islamabad protest. ISLAMABAD: Maryam Riaz Wattoo, sister of Bushra Bibi, has confirmed that the former first lady has been transferred to an undisclose location in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), ARY News reported. Islamabad, Rawalpindi educational institutions to remain closed

ISLAMABAD: The authorities have announced the closure of Islamabad and Rawalpindi educational institutions for the third consecutive day amid the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest in the capital city. A notification has been issued in this regard, stating that all educational institutions will remain closed on Wednesday, November 27, due to the law and order situation in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Pakistan Army deployed as four Rangers personnel martyred in Islamabad

RAWALPINDI: At least four Pakistan Rangers soldiers were martyred when miscreants ran them over with a vehicle on Srinagar Highway in Islamabad during PTI protest, ARY News reported on Tuesday, citing security sources.  PTI has been protesting since November 24 for his release from Adiala Jail. As per details, four Rangers personnel were martyred, while five others including policemen were injured in the incident. ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi warned that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will not be allowed to hold protest at D-Chowk and said that the government will be forced to take stern action if the party attempts to cross the ‘red line’, ARY News reported. Zahra murder case: Police reveal new development in investigation

DASKA: Police have revealed that at least four suspects in the Zahra murder case are in custody without being under investigation, ARY News reported. IHC orders not to allow PTI protest in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday instructed the district administration to take all measures according to the law to maintain peace in capital. The court announced the verdict on the petition of Traders Association of Islamabad against the call of protest by the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) on November 24. Brazilian woman arrested at Karachi airport with cocaine worth over Rs13mln

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Thursday in an operation at Jinnah International airport in Karachi, arrested a Brazilian woman with cocaine, ARY News reported. As per details, ANF recovered 1.396 kilograms of cocaine valued at Rs13.9 million from a Brazilian woman, who arrived at Karachi airport via private airline. Eligibility criteria for Honhaar Scholarship Program announced

In a significant development for students, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz unveiled the Rs 130 billion ‘Honhaar Scholarship Program’ on Tuesday. Roshan Digital Account inflows rise to $8.953 bln in October 2024

The inflow of remittances under Roshan Digital Account (RDA) has risen to US $8.953 billion by the end of October 2024 as compared to US $8.749 billion by September (2024) end. The data showed that the inflows of remittances during October were recorded at US$ 204 million as compared to US$ 168 million in September and US$ 165 million in August 2024, according to the latest data released by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP). Pakistan reports 50th polio case of 2024

ISLAMABAD: The National Emergency Operations Centre (NEOC) has reported another polio case in Pakistan, bringing the total number of cases in 2024 to 50, ARY News reported on Tuesday, citing sources. According to NEOC sources, the National Reference Lab identified the latest case involving a 20-month-old girl from Tank district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Tests confirmed the presence of Wild Poliovirus Type 1 (WPV1). This is the second polio case reported from Tank this year, with a genetic link established to a case from July in the same district. Province-wise, Balochistan remains the hardest hit, with 24 polio cases reported this year, followed by Sindh with 13, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 11, and Punjab and Islamabad each recording one case.
