Successful talks impossible without dissolving NA: Pervaiz Elahi

Pervaiz Elahi, political dialogues, NA dissolution

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Pervaiz Elahi said on Monday that political talks cannot be successful without the dissolution of the National Assembly (NA), ARY News reported.

Pervaiz Elahi said in a statement that if the government is serious for conducting elections then it will announce the dissolution of the National Assembly (NA).

He made the statement while talking to different politicians who held a meeting with him, Wajahat Hussain and Rasikh Elahi. The PTI president said that the deadline set by the Supreme Court (SC) to the government for organising polls is going to expire soon.

“The government is running an organised campaign against the Supreme Court (SC) instead of holding talks and using dialogue option as a delaying tactic. Shehbaz Sharif will not be successful to fool the SC.”

“If government is serious to conduct elections on a date then it will announce the dissolution of the NA. Talks cannot be successful without the dissolution of the NA.”

“In Punjab, no one is ready to accept PML-N [Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz] tickets. PML-N wants to maintain its reputation by boycotting the elections which is tantamount to accepting its defeat.”

The monsoon is vital for agriculture and therefore for the livelihoods of millions of farmers and for food security in the poor region of around two billion people. But it brings destruction every ye...
