ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts a dry and hot weather spell across the country during the Eid-ul-Fiter holidays. PMD also indicates that Pakistan will experience a continuation of the prevailing dry and hot conditions. Six terrorists killed in Kalat operation, ISPR

KALAT: At least six terrorists were killed during an IBO in Balochistan, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday. “On 29 March 2025, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Kalat District of Balochistan, on reported presence of terrorists”, the ISPR said. KP govt announces remission for prisoners on Eidul Fitr

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister has announced a two-month reduction in sentences for prisoners on the occasion of Eidul Fitr 2025, ARY News reported. Government cuts petrol price for the next fortnight

ISLAMABAD: The federal government has decreased the petrol price, announcing the revised rates for the next fortnight, ARY News reported. KP CM pens letter to President for NFC meeting

PESHAWAR: Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has written a letter to President Asif Ali Zardari, asking him to convene a meeting of the National Finance Commission (NFC) award, ARY News reported. Cracker attack on police camp leaves four injured in Karachi

KARACHI: A police camp in Karachi’s Quaidabad area was attacked by unknown individuals from a bridge, leaving four including three personnel injured ARY News reported. The attackers used crackers to target the security camp, which was set up for Eid security measures. The injured personnel were initially taken to a private hospital at Dawood Chowrangi for medical treatment and later shifted to Jinnah Hospital. ISLAMABAD: In a major move to reduce energy costs and promote sustainability, the federal government has decided to solarise hospitals in Islamabad to solar energy, ARY News reported citing sources. Pakistan, IMF reach staff-level agreement on 1st review of loan programme

Pakistan and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) have reached a staff-level agreement on the first review under Pakistan’s 37-month $7bn Extended Fund Facility (EFF) and on a new 28-month $1.3bn arrangement under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF), the federal government and the IMF confirmed. “The IMF team has reached a staff-level agreement (SLA) with the Pakistani authorities on the first review of the 37-month Extended Arrangement under the Extended Fund Facility (EFF), and on a new 28-month arrangement under the IMF’s RSF with total access over the 28 months of around $1.3 billion (SDR 1 billion). The staff-level agreement is subject to approval of the IMF’s Executive Board. PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to expand its E-Fine system to all relevant departments to digitise government affairs and promote e-governance in the province ARY News reported. IHC allows PTI leaders to meet party founder

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) granted permission to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders to meet party founder Imran Khan on every Tuesday and Thursday, ARY News reported. KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Money Laundering Circle has booked Armaghan, the prime suspect in the Mustafa Amir murder case, in the hawala hundi and forgery case, ARY News reported. According to sources, the Regional Reference Laboratory has confirmed the presence of the polio virus in samples collected from 18 districts in four provinces of the country. The samples were collected from sewage lines between February 21 to March 06, and the results revealed the presence of Wild Poliovirus Type 1 in several districts. Four policemen gunned down in Nushki

Noshki: At least four policemen were killed in an attack in the Nushki district of Balochistan, ARY News reported on Saturday.
