Shocking video shows sweeper treating patients at a hospital in Punjab

Pattoki Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Punjab has come under scrutiny after a viral video revealed shocking negligence in its emergency services, ARY News reported.

In the shocking viral video, a sweeper named Abid has been seen performing medical procedures, including stitching wounds and dressing injuries, due to the absence of qualified personnel.

The video obtained by ARY News clearly shows sweeper attending to a female patient, highlighting the terrible state of emergency services at the Pattoki hospital.

After the viral video, citizens have expressed outrage over the lack of medicines and the routine emergency staff missing at Pattoki Hospital.

They claim that despite receiving substantial funds, the hospital remains under-equipped and mismanaged, raising concerns about corruption.

The Punjab government faces rising pressure to address these issues. Residents have called on Chief Minister Punjab to take immediate notice and hold those responsible accountable after reviewing the viral video.

Earlier, in a horrific incident, an infant girl suffered severe burns due to the alleged negligence of the hospital staff at the Gangaram Hospital in Lahore.

As per details, the baby was placed in an incubator, which malfunctioned, causing the temperature to rise and resulting in burns to the baby’s body due to negligence of the hospital staff.

According to the infant’s father, Rafaqat Ali, the hospital staff was irresponsible and uncooperative when he questioned them about the incident. He alleged that the staff members were rude and even expelled him from the nursery.

The father appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for justice, seeking an investigation into the incident and action against the hospital staff responsible for the negligence.

It is important to mention here that in 2023, an infant died of burns after being exposed to overheating in an incubator at Lahore’s Children’s Hospital.

The infant got burnt due to severe negligence by doctors, nurses, and medical staff.
